On April 7, 2026, deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Davidson Romilus. He faces two serious felony charges: s3xual battery on a child under the age of 12 and lewd or lascivious exhibition.
The investigation into the allegations began in late 2024. In November 2024, a 9-year-old girl told her mother about incidents that had occurred when she was approximately 8 years old.
On March 19, 2026, at around noon, a forensic interview was conducted with the chld as part of the ongoing investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators later interviewed the suspect on March 31, 2026. During that conversation, the suspect admitted that he touched himself in the presence of the child on one occasion and indicated that it only happened once.
On April 7, 2026, additional clarification questions were asked of the chld at the Chld Protection Team office. After reviewing all the information from the investigation and the statements provided, authorities concluded there was enough probable cause to file the charges against Romilus.
Romilus is currently being held in custody. The case is now pending in the Palm Beach County court system and will proceed through the legal process. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
