WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Armani Green was taken into custody by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office after investigators say he opened fire on an occupied vehicle outside an apartment complex in West Palm Beach.
According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies responded to a sh00ting investigation on May 8 at the Palo Verde apartment complex near Forest Hill Boulevard. Investigators said multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene after a vehicle was reportedly struck by gunfire.
Detectives say the female driver told deputies she had just dropped off a passenger at the complex when a suspect known by the nickname “Money” allegedly emerged from the side of a building armed with what she described as a “Draco”-style firearm and began sh00ting toward her car.
The driver told investigators she recognized the suspect from previous encounters and said there had been an ongoing dispute between the suspect and her brother. Authorities stated there was no confrontation immediately before the sh00ting and alleged the gunfire was directed at the vehicle because the brother was inside.
Investigators later identified the suspect as Armani Green. Court records cited in the affidavit state Green was previously adjudicated delinquent on a grand theft charge and remains on probation.
Green now faces several serious felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder, sh00ting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by a delinquent, and criminal attempt charges. Mr. Green is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing
