BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A Lake Worth man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say a domestic dispute escalated into a violent exchange of gunfire in a commercial parking lot on the evening of June 10, 2026.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Boynton Beach Police Department, 44-year-old Frisner St. Cyr was arrested and charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder with a Firearm, Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Domestic), and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon.
Police were dispatched to a busy shopping plaza shortly before 7 p.m. following reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of a shooting, including numerous spent shell casings and damaged vehicles. One individual had already been transported to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigators determined that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute involving St. Cyr and a former dating partner. According to the affidavit, the relationship had ended several months earlier, and authorities noted that police had previously responded to a disturbance involving the pair days before the shooting. During that earlier encounter, investigators alleged that St. Cyr became confrontational after attempting to speak with the former partner.
On the evening of the incident, detectives say the former partner was speaking with a male friend in a parked vehicle when a black Cadillac allegedly pulled in front of their vehicles, blocking them from leaving. Authorities allege that St. Cyr exited the Cadillac armed with a handgun and began firing toward the individuals.
The former partner reportedly fled the area on foot as gunfire erupted. According to investigators, several additional shots were fired as the confrontation continued across the parking lot.
The male individual who was with the former partner told detectives he possessed a valid concealed weapons permit and was legally carrying a firearm. He stated that he returned fire after allegedly coming under attack. The man then fled to a nearby business and remained there until law enforcement arrived.
A separate witness reportedly observed a man exit a black Cadillac while armed and begin firing. Investigators said the witness observed the gunman continue pursuing another individual while shots were being fired. The witness told detectives they did not observe the other individual initiate the gunfire.
During the exchange, St. Cyr was struck by gunfire and later transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Due to his medical condition, detectives were unable to obtain a statement from him at the time of the investigation.
Authorities further discovered that St. Cyr was a convicted felon, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm under Florida law. Records reviewed by investigators reportedly showed a prior felony conviction dating back to 2007.
Based on witness accounts, physical evidence collected at the scene, and statements gathered during the investigation, detectives determined there was probable cause to charge St. Cyr with attempted murder and the additional firearm-related offenses.
The case remains active and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
