PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Joshua Lynch of Port St. Lucie was arrested following an undercover investigation conducted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Human Exploitation and Trafficking Enforcement Unit.

According to investigators, the case began after authorities received information regarding alleged online communications between Lynch and a minor. Detectives launched an investigation and reviewed electronic communications that allegedly showed discussions about meeting in person and exchanging money.

Court records state that investigators gathered evidence indicating Lynch continued communicating with the minr after becoming aware that the individual was under 18. During the investigation, detectives assumed control of the communications and continued corresponding with Lynch as plans for an in-person meeting allegedly progressed.

Authorities say arrangements were eventually made for a meeting in Palm Beach Gardens. On June 5, 2026, members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office conducted surveillance at the agreed-upon location and observed Lynch arrive. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

According to arrest documents, Lynch faces several felony charges, including:

• Solicitation to Commit Human Trafficking of a Minr
• Criminal Solicitation
• Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device to Facilitate a Felony

Investigators allege that electronic messages and other digital evidence played a significant role in establishing probable cause for the arrest. Following his detention, Lynch was interviewed by detectives as part of the ongoing investigation.

The case remains active and will move through the Palm Beach County court system.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office encourages parents and guardians to remain aware of their children’s online activity and to report suspicious communications involving minors to law enforcement.

🚨Separate Felony Case Also Pending🚨

Court records show that Lynch is also facing charges in a separate Palm Beach County felony case filed on June 19, 2026.

According to court records, that case includes charges of:

• Travel to Meet a Chld After Using a Computer to Lure or Solicit a Chld

• Use of a Computer to Seduce, Solicit, or Lure a Chld

The separate case appears under a different case number and stems from allegations unrelated to the Palm Beach Gardens investigation described above. Both cases currently remain open in Palm Beach County court records.

As with the charges described in this article, all allegations contained in the separate case remain pending and have not been proven in court.
