A Lake Worth man was arrested after a violent incident inside a West Palm Beach vape shop that led to multiple felony charges, according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.
Police identified the suspect as Jimmy Solomon, 28, of Lake Worth, who was arrested on charges of kidnapping, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling or structure, battery, and resisting an officer without violence.
According to investigators, officers responded to All Week Vape and Smoke, located on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, on the night of June 29, 2026, after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a female employee.
When officers arrived, they met with the employee, who was visibly upset and reported that a customer had become aggressive inside the store. The suspect was described to responding officers, who quickly began searching the area. Police located Solomon nearby and took him into custody after he attempted to flee upon seeing officers. The employee later positively identified him as the suspect involved in the incident.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Solomon initially entered the business and spoke with the employee about several items. After leaving the store, he later returned and continued interacting with the employee. During the encounter, Solomon allegedly asked to use a restroom inside the business. The employee informed him there was no public restroom available.
Investigators say Solomon then entered an employee-only area of the store without permission. When the employee attempted to stop him and direct him out of the restricted area, Solomon allegedly became physically aggressive. Police report that the employee was forcibly moved into a back office area and struck multiple times during the confrontation.
The affidavit states that witnesses inside the business heard screaming and observed Solomon exiting the back area before quickly leaving the store. Witness statements and evidence collected during the investigation were used to support the charges.
Following the investigation, officers charged Solomon with:
- Kidnapping
- Burglary of a Structure
- Battery
- Resisting an Officer Without Violence
Solomon was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail following his arrest. Court records show some of the charges were filed without bond.
The case remains under review by the Palm Beach County court system.
