What happened: A woman was taken into custody for allegedly throwing stones at passing cars in Boca Raton, according to the Boca Raton Police Department.
Background: BRPD says that Yasmeen Sheri Cornish, 30, was taken into custody on Sept. 12 for allegedly throwing objects at moving vehicles near North Federal Highway.
Police say that one driver saw Cornish throw an object that struck the lower-right portion of her windshield, shattering it and sending glass into the vehicle. Damage was estimated at roughly $2,000 in that particular case.
Turns out, Cornish had thrown an object that damaged the right rear passenger door and tire-well area. Damage for that was estimated to be around $2,500.
Two stones were located by BRPD that matched the shape and size of the damage to one of the vehicles. Cornish later admitted to throwing the stones because she felt followed and heard voices harassing and threatening her.
She was charged with 2 counts of throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
