What happened: Police are searching for more potential VICS after arresting a man and woman in a human trafficking investigation — including a man accused of targeting teens.
Background: Maximiliano Buitrago , 51, was taken into custody Sept. 16 along with Charlie Pardieck , 51, with help from the U.S.
Marshals Service and Boynton Beach Police Department. Authorities said the arrests stem from an investigation that began after Officers with the Boynton Beach Police Department received information in July 2025 about the possible trafficking of an intellectually disabled adult in Boca Raton.
Pardieck, a female relative of the VIC, was paid to transport the VIC to a studio along North Federal Highway where Buitrago photographed the VIC’s feet, legs and hands. The VIC was left alone with Buitrago during two separate sessions.
During one session, police said the VIC reported that both she and Buitrago were nude and that Buitrago touched her inappropriately. Both Buitrago and Pardieck are charged with human trafficking for commercial S3xual activity involving a mentally defective person and using a two-way device to facilitate a felony.
Both remain held in the Palm Beach County Jail.
