What happened: A $400 Methamp deal at a Greenacres barbershop was among the undercover buys at the center of a sweeping substance investigation that put six suspects behind bars.
Background: The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office began investigating the alleged substance operation in March 2026, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Six people were taken into custody in connection with the investigation.
Investigators say Richard Sebastian Paterniti arranged several substance deals with an undercover detective, including multiple Methamp purchases and a deal involving PRESCRP painkillers. On March 3, Paterniti allegedly agreed to sell the detective an ounce of crystal Methamp for $400.
The two met near Loqustiles Barber Shop on Lake Worth Road in Greenacres, where Paterniti allegedly handed over a bag containing about 29 grams of Methamp. Afterward, Paterniti allegedly texted the detective about offering two ounces for $600 on a future purchase.
In April, Paterniti allegedly sold the detective about two ounces of Methamp for $600. Investigators also say he later negotiated a deal involving a pound of Methamp, which he allegedly sold to the detective in May for $2,300.
The affidavit also describes an alleged PRESCRP pill sale.
