What happened: Joshua Senfeld’s father waited near the scene asking about his son for nearly three hours after Palm Beach County deputies had klled him, according to the military veteran’s uncle.
Background: In an interview with News’ Katie Bente, Wayne Senfeld questioned both the sh00ting of his 30-year-old nephew and how authorities treated the father who had called them for help. “But at 2:30 in the morning, Josh had been dead almost three hours laying there on the concrete, and my brother is standing there like a fool,” Wayne said.
“Asking, how’s my son?. My family’s calling.
They left him there.” Deputies sh0t and klled Senfeld Wednesday night at Sandalfoot Square west of Boca Raton after negotiating with him for about 90 minutes. Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said Senfeld was armed, threatening suicide and repeatedly putting a gun to his head.
Wayne said Joshua’s father went to the shopping center and repeatedly asked to speak with his son. Instead, officers kept him away and moved him three times, Wayne said.
He said Joshua’s father learned around 2:30 a.m.
