What happened: A Lake Worth man was taken into custody early Wednesday after police said he refused to leave a Palm Springs bar, entered an Uber he had not ordered and later threatened officers while in custody.

An Uber driver told officers he had arrived to pick up a passenger when Martinez got into his vehicle, according to the affidavit. The driver said Martinez was not the passenger he was there for and refused to get out after being told to leave.
The driver also told police Martinez used racial slurs and appeared intoxicated. A bar employee told police Martinez had been causing problems inside the business and had refused to pay for a drink, forcing the employee to pay for it.
The employee told Martinez he was no longer welcome and wanted him trespassed from the property, police said.
