What happened: A man is accused of hitting someone with a pipe, then taking their wallet in West Palm Beach, according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.
Background: WPBPD says that Larry Williams Yorker, 39, was taken into custody on Wednesday following an incident outside of O’Shea’s Irish Pub in downtown West Palm Beach on Sept. Yorker and a male VIC began arguing over money allegedly owed for a bicycle.
Then, the VIC alleged that he was struck twice in the back of the head by with a pipe by an unidentified man who was with Yorker. During the scuffle, the VIC’s wallet — which had his identification, bus pass, and debit card inside — fell to the ground.
The unidentified man picked up the wallet, and handed it to Yorker, who then walked away, which was caught on video. The VIC was left with a minor head laceration and scratches on his neck.
Yorker admitted to being at the scene and hitting the man with the pipe. He was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon.
