RODRIGUEZCONSUEGRA, MIGUEL, A local handyman is facing two third-degree felony charges after a Palm Beach County homeowner’s interior cameras apparently did exactly what they were installed to do.
According to an arrest report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the woman left town earlier this week and entrusted her 10-year-old black Labrador to a friend and the friend’s boyfriend.
She had set up motion-activated cameras inside the house months earlier after finding unexplained fluid on her sheets following a previous trip. While still away, she checked the footage and immediately called deputies.
Investigators say the videos showed two separate incidents—one on the evening of August 3 and another early the next morning—in which the man allegedly engaged in conduct that Florida law specifically prohibits under Statute 828.126 (s3xual contact with an an***l).
Each incident is being charged as its own felony.
You’ll be happy to know the lab was examined by a veterinarian at Animal Care and Control and showed no signs of injury. Detectives later interviewed the man , showed him the videos, and ……………
He confirmed it was him on camera.
He was arrested on August 6 and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
This is yet another reason to get a modern surveillance system in and around your home.
