PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County man with a documented felony history is now facing multiple serious charges following a sh00ting that left a woman and her infant child wounded in the early morning hours of May 1, 2026, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Marvin Davilmar, 36, was taken into custody after deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a residence. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds to her lower extremities. The victim was holding her infant child, who had also sustained a gunsh0t wound. Both were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
According to the probable cause affidavit, investigators recovered multiple spent shell casings outside the residence. Detectives also documented multiple projectile defects to the front of the home, indicating rounds were fired into the dwelling from outside.
The investigation determined that the sh00ting was connected to an ongoing domestic dispute between the victim and Davilmar, who are related. Witness statements and evidence collected at the scene, including surveillance footage, led investigators to identify Davilmar as the suspect. A witness inside the residence reported recognizing Davilmar’s voice during the incident.
Deputies later located Davilmar and took him into custody without incident.
Court records show Davilmar has prior felony convictions in Palm Beach County, including a 2010 conviction for burglary of a conveyance and a 2011 conviction for possession of Co. Caine. Based on these prior adjudications, Davilmar is prohibited under Florida law from possessing a firearm or ammunition.
In the current case, Davilmar is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, multiple counts of sh00ting into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Investigators confirmed that several individuals were inside the residence at the time of the shooting. No additional injuries were reported.
The case remains under active investigation.
